2012 EVENT  INFORMATION
The Kenda tires Big Sky XC presented by KLIM is a national hare scramble format race held on the ski slopes of Big Sky Resort. The first race left the line in 2009. Its popularity has been steadily growing ever since. 20 states and 2 Canadian provinces were represented in 2011. The race has been featured in Dirt Rider, Cycle News, Racer X, and American Motorcyclist as well as dozens of motorcycle industry websites. 

A win at the Big Sky XC is more than a resume builder for the county's top pro and amateur racers. Its an fun experience for the whole family.

AMA Hare Scrambles rules apply.
96 DB sound check at sign up. 

Spark Arrester is required

AMA membership is required (AMA membership sign-up will be available at the registration table).

Base Area Elevation: 7,500 ft. 

No jetting area. Come pre-jetted. 

There are several National Forest Service trail heads within a short drive.   

Course consists of technical mountain terrain. Expect rocks, steep climbs, switch backs, single tracks, access trails, etc. Saturday’s courses will be shortened, less technical versions of the Sunday courses.

Rider’s Meetings: at starting area 15 minutes prior to each race

Adults: $65.00 (pre-register)/ $80.00 after Aug 1st
Youth: $35.00 (pre-register)/ $40.00 after Aug 1st 
           

 

Transponders:

AMA District 36 transponders and system. Camping and parking:


Camping is available for racers only in the pit area. Water and electric hook-ups are NOT available. Quiet hours start every night at 7pm. Any bikes started up between the hours of 7pm and 8:30am will be disqualified from the weekend’s racing without refund. Gate pass credentials will be required for all vehicles. Gate pass credentials are free for anyone with proof of accommodations from Big Sky Resort Central Reservations. Gate Passes are good for the entire weekend. Purchase upon arrival.

Saturday Awards Dinner (7:00pm):
